Hi I’m Emily, 41 year old, mum to two energetic young boys, based in Nottingham, England.

My love for fitness and exercise started over 20 years ago, when I discovered my local gym and fitness classes and realised what a happy buzz I felt from the environment and how inspiring I found the people teaching and training along side me.

Fast forward a few years and jobs later, I finally took the plunge, re trained and qualified to become a Personal Trainer.

Clients say my love, passion and ever growing knowledge for fitness, along with my energetic, enthusiastic, glass half full, outlook on life shines through when we are training or talking anything fitness related.

It really is the job of my dreams; helping others feel good about themselves, achieving their goals and potential. Seeing them fall in love with exercise themselves, expanding their knowledge and understanding the benefits of exercise and healthy eating. Helping to motivate, encourage and inspire clients to improve their fitness levels, look after and invest in themselves and their future health. 

I understand the courage it takes to start out, the trust you‘re putting in me to get you to where you want to be, how you want to look, and more importantly how you want to feel about yourself.

Maybe I’ve been in your shoes? I was the over weight teenager who lacked body confidence in her late teens and early 20’s. I’ve carried and delivered two big babies (one via an emergency C section). I exercised throughout my pregnancies and when sleep was regularly disturbed, with a baby in tow. I’ve had major surgery, keeping me off exercise and out the gym for months. Like most of us, I juggle exercise around work, home and family life. I’m also a sociable person, who loves her food, enjoys a glass of wine, has a sweet tooth and likes to bake.

I exercise and eat well for my physical and mental health, to keep aches and pains away, to be stronger and more confident.
I exercise to give me the best chance of a long and healthy life, to be the friend that says yes to a hike or run, to be a ‘fun mum‘ and to keep up on a walk or cycle, to play tag in the playground, to see my kids grow up. And yes, nearing 40, I want to look good too!

Ive been there, done that, have the scars to prove it and most importantly understand you.

Emily has a flexible style and doesn’t offer a 'one size fits all' approach. She takes the time to understand her client needs, wants and strengths and adjusts accordingly.  Emily has been training me for a year now and the changes I have seen in my strength and toning are significant, and at 40 I am now in the best shape I have ever been and I feel great. We have trained together at home, in the gym and online, and she has written programmes that I can easily follow on my own. Emily has the knowledge and confidence to get the right results. Her motivation and encouragement is infectious and she put me at ease immediately. She's constantly checking form throughout the sessions. All my workouts and exercises change regularly and she's also done special 6 week challenges to suit my own personal goals and to suit at home gym equipment.  Emily was my absolute saviour and it is such a shame she has moved to England, it is a big loss to Spain and especially to myself. Emily started being my personal trainer after a very strict lockdown in Spain where I found I became extremely lazy, lacked motivation and put on a lot of weight. She trained me twice a week which also gave me the motivation to start my jogging journey. I thoroughly enjoyed our sessions and Emily certainly pushed me to my limits in a very kind, caring professional and motivational way! I think it will be very difficult to find another personal trainer like Emily!

 Emily is a fantastic personal trainer with immense knowledge of the right technique and combination of training for optimal results as well as diets. She put together a targeted program for me, taking my wrist injury and clicking knee under careful supervision in all exercises. She is excellent at keeping up motivation and to push you to your limits. I would recommend Emily to all who wants a very dedicated and friendly trainer who can help you achieve the results you want.

 Emily Harvey is a golden personal trainer that only gives 110%. I had the great privilege of knowing her before her PT training, and I knew she was a natural and intuitive athlete already. With her own experience as a base, she built and grew her own personal training business with a steady and consistent method. Emily practices what she preaches. It is obvious she has studied every detail of her training to make sure the client gets stronger, increases aerobic capacity and is very encouraging on a mental level as well. As a practicing osteopath I always have a critical eye on form and posture. Emily was a star in this department, and I didn’t get injured at all during the months she trained me. She knows safe alignment for the body and joints. During the session I felt a strong support and an “ I got your back “ attitude that is priceless. She knew just when to push me either mentally or physically to help me get stronger. I always ended the sessions with a feeling of accomplishment without any pain.

  Emily has been instrumental in my personal fitness journey, from setting my programs in a clear and simple way to checking on my progress. Although I do like to push myself during the actual sessions, having Emily there at the end of the phone, checking up on me in her super positive and friendly way, has truly kept me motivated to keep it going and stay focused! Ever the professional, Emily can answer all my queries in a simple way and she totally understands the type of body shape I wish to achieve, taking into consideration I have had three children. I have learnt a whole new range of exercises that will help me achieve my aim and I now feel and look stronger than ever. I know I would struggle to find someone more dedicated and enthusiastic than Emily, and more important she is my real-life role model. I am looking forward to continuing my progress with Emily at my side!
